We’re sharing this live Kelp Cam from the Hastings Kelp Project as an example of marine restoration in action.
Kelp forests are among the most important coastal ecosystems in the UK. They provide habitat for marine life, support fisheries, improve water quality, and help store carbon. In recent years, protection measures along parts of the Sussex coast have allowed kelp habitats to begin recovering naturally.
This live stream offers a rare, real-time view beneath the surface — a simple but powerful way to connect people with what’s happening in our coastal waters.
